Meet Betsy! Isn't she lovely? She is solely responsible for initiating my love affair with photography and she was the first among my growing collecting of cameras. She was the first camera I purchased (not counting my point-and-shoots). I am in love with her photos first and foremost, but also with her size and vintage look.
She was different than other cameras and I think that is what I liked most about her. Her pictures tend to appear more timeless, more classic. I'm not going to lie: I still can't get a really good picture out of her and I've had her for about a year now! They're not joking when they say it's a Polaroid camera for professionals! I have a DSLR and I only shoot in manual so I do know the basics, but I just haven't quite figured this camera out!
We took Betsy (Polaroid 600 SE) up the canyon last fall for the gorgeous red & orange autumn leaves, and my hubby was carrying Betsy around when an elderly couple passed him and the woman said, "I haven't seen one of those cameras in years! They don't make them like that anymore!"
little note: I bought this camera on eBay, and I buy her film here.
